Our K1 curriculum covers 5 categories of the Animal Kingdoms.
In the 5 different series, we introduced the animal classifications to children through different activities.
Science –
We provide fun and factual information about these animals through carefully crafted worksheets and crafts. Every series will have almost the same format of worksheets in the booklet. In addition, there are extra and different worksheets or crafts for them to bring home to show parents what they learn each lesson.
Technology –
QR code scanning and information linked to the specific animals are always available. During our first lessons of each series, children will be given our specially customized gift that represent the series. Each gift contains a QR code that would allow the children to go home and share the information on each animals they will be learning in the series with their parents. Thus achieving parent-child bonding and life-long learning.
Engineering and Art & Design –
In this segment, we merged these two to allow creativity and exploration of ideas.
- “Fun Foundations” (Mechanical / Marine / Robotic Engineering): Designing an animal or machine with different functions centered on exploring the ideas of underwater exploration and design. Students explore the engineering behind robots and more.
- “Fun Flights” (Aerospace Engineering): Designing a plane with different wingspan and shapes is centered on the concepts of aerodynamics and design. Students explore the different shapes of wings of an airplane and test out the distance it would fly.
Mathematics –
Mathematics are commonly used in many industries. In this segment, we want to relate mathematics to the real-world context. Our activities revolve around daily usage of mathematics so that the children would be able to make sense of why and how important mathematics is.
